Join the Beginner Guitar Academy January Practice-a-Thon
(Free & Open to Everyone)
Start the year by building a simple, sustainable guitar practice habit, and help change lives through music.
This January, guitarists from around the world are coming together for the Beginner Guitar Academy Practice-a-Thon.
Practice-a-thon is a month-long challenge where we practise guitar regularly and raise money for Jessie’s Fund, a charity that helps children with additional and complex needs communicate through music.
You don’t need to be a BGA member.
You don’t need to be “good” at guitar.
You just need a guitar — and the willingness to show up.
What is the Practice-a-thon:
The Practice-a-Thon is a January guitar challenge where participants:
- Practise guitar throughout January (even a few minutes a day counts)
- Track their practice with a simple log
- Create an optional fundraising page
- Invite friends and family to sponsor their effort
- Help raise money for a powerful music-based charity
It’s about consistency, not perfection.
